International Education Week

2016-300x300

International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. IEW was first organized in 2000 in the United States as a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences. Today it’s celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide.

International Education Week 2016 will be celebrated during the week of November 14-18th.  Throughout IEW, events and activities are organized aimed to celebrate world regions and cultures, raise awareness of international and global issues, develop cross-cultural environmental skills, and promote respect and concern for other cultures and peoples.  For more information about this year’s activities, please see our events calendar.
