My name is Hilda Yacoubian and I am an undergraduate student in the English and Communications Department. I am an Armenian, born and raised in Damascus, Syria, currently living in my motherland: Yerevan, Armenia.

While in Armenia, I have interned as a Journalist at Civilnet, volunteered at Children of Armenia Fund and Armenian Environmental Network, and worked as Communication Liaison at the Luys Foundation.

Ten years from now, I picture myself in Armenia, giving back knowledge I attained from my educational journey.

My hobbies are aviation and football (soccer) and my goal for future is to be a diplomat.

My name is Vacheh and I am 18 years old. I am a student of the Business department of AUA. I am from the Islamic Republic of Iran, but my nationality is Armenian. My family moved from Iran to Armenia around 12 years ago because of the political situation and the discrimination against religious ethnic minorities.

During my high school career I was a member of the Junior National’s Basketball team and also I am volunteering of AGBU Yerevan scouts and I am a leader. I am also a member the of European Youth Parliament (EYP).

Hi! My name in Robert Karapetyan and I am an undergraduate student in the Business Administration program of American University of Armenia. I am a positive person, dedicated to making the world a better place. In my spare time I like to read books, watch movies or listen to the music. One of my favourite books is Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince”. I like meeting new people, communicating and making new connections. I wake up every day thinking, “Today again I have a chance to make history”.

image015 Aram Serobyan

Hi, my name is Aram Serobyan! My Major is CS and I am 18! I was born in Yerevan, however I had the experience of living in USA so I am kind of native-foreigner.

What I can say about myself, hmm…  My hobbies are playing chess, writing and skating! I am very positive and open-minded! So any suggestions from students are welcomed!  And if anyone doesn’t know me, feel free to speak or ask questions, usually I am nice to everyone 🙂

I am Lily Aboyan. I was born in Ukraine, but didn’t live there for a long time. I love meeting new people, eating new things and having new discoveries all the time. More simply, I love change.

Life never asks us whether we like something it did or not, but we always have a chance to make changes. I became a student council member to be the change I want to see.

image022 Hayk Vardanyan

My name is Hayk and I study Business in the American University of Armenia. I was born in 1994 in Yerevan where I grew up and attended primary and secondary schools. Later when I became 14 years old I went to a British International school located in Thailand, where I lived in a boarding house, to complete high school. My biggest out-of-class interest is football, which I enjoy both playing and watching. I am eager to serve the AUA community through my involvement in the undergraduate student council.

My name is Maggie Ryan, and I am half Armenian half American, but I consider myself 100 percent Armenian. I lived in Moscow, California, and Armenia, and I speak three languages. I’ve been in Student Council for five years, along with other different clubs. As a member of Student Council, I hope for us to create a bridge between the Administration and the students, and to become the foundation for the development of AUA’s community.
